THE CRITICAL VACUUM

Hyperopia Projects presented the Strattman lecture at the 2015 Glass Art Society Conference. The Critical Vacuum addresses the apparent lack of criticality in contemporary glass and glass related art. We address the questions of how we define criticality in current practice, where that criticality might be fostered, who produces it, and how it might be accessed and responded to.

The Critical Vacuum also announces the launch of the Hyperopia Project Archives, an online resource for writings and critical thought on art and glass related topics.
